About me

I am a fairly simple person. I want a life where I can spend time with my family and a job where I can be myself and feel accepted.
I'm kind and, I think, a good colleague, but I guess you'll have to ask my references about that :)

Hobbies

My hobbies are pretty standard for a developer. Gaming takes a lot of my free time and when I'm not gaming, I like to spend time with my partner, watching shows, going for walks etc, experiencing life together.

I also code in my spare time when inspiration strikes or when a need arises. For example I created this webpage to show my CV and took the opportunity to learn more about Go and HTMX.
In the past I've created an alarm app/webpage where you could set your alarm and have it play any Spotify song of your choosing.
I've created almost countless small webapps to help me with some task. Tracking gym sessions and progress, helping me draft in fantasy football and online shared grocery list for me and my partner.
I also code just for fun and for learning. For example I usually participate in Advent of Code every year.

Goals

If I'm being honest, I don't have any lofty goals of being a CEO or starting my own business. I'm a simple guy; my goals are more soft-goals:
I want a job where I can grow, both personal growth and technical improvements and I want a job where I can share knowledge and teach others.

If I try to imagine how my life looks in X years, I want to be in a place where I am challenged at work and can share learnings with others, and vice versa, so that we can improve together.
I want to be able to live a good life with my partner and future kids.
